Mock Trial

Although I'm less actively engaged in the activity at the moment, Mock Trial has long played an important role in my life as a student and as a professor.

As a faculty member at Rhodes College, I served as an assistant coach for two years and as one of the inaugural faculty for the Mock Trial Summer Academy. During 2017, my team was the undefeated champion of our regional competition, and we contributed to breaking a new school record for number of acquired competition bids.

As an undergraduate at Rhodes College, I competed with the mock trial team for three years. During this time, I became an All-American Witness, won more than six individual recognition awards, captained our A team, and had three appearances at the AMTA Championship Tournament. The Rhodes College Mock Trial Team is one of the most successful teams in history, coached by Anna Smith and Marcus D. Pohlmann.
